Madeira Beach

Madeira Beach is a small coastal city located in Pinellas County, Florida. It is perfectly situated on a barrier island between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway and gives residents and visitors stunning views and easy access to the white sandy beach.

Madeira Beach has a population of about 4000 and covers about 3 square miles, of which two thirds is water. There are many canals and waterways lined by beautiful homes throughout the city. Not only is there a lot to do in this coastal city, but it’s easily accessible as well. It is just 20 minutes drive to the I275 and 40 minutes to Tampa International Airport.

There are many draws to the city, often referred to as Mad Beach. John’s Pass used to be a key fishing village and is now one of the star attractions of the southern barrier islands. It is home to may retail stores, waterfront restaurants and cafes, and home to many companies offering sight seeing boat charters, fishing trips, parasailing and dolphin watching.

Sunset from Madeira Beach

Madeira Beach has a beautiful white sand beach, which is perfect for swimming and sunbathing, and of course watching the sunset. There is easy parking in the lots by the beach and it’s a quick walk to the amenities up and down Gulf Boulevard. The city is host to several fun annual events such as the John’s Pass Annual Seafood festival in January and the King of the Beach fishing tournament in the fall.

Madeira Beach Real Estate
